Digital Copywriter &

Content Strategist

Hi, I’m Rachel! I love creating content that guides, informs, and inspires. You can probably find me at my local coffee shop, optimizing web content during the week or writing creative fiction on the weekends.

The Ask:

Update shopping pages (product listing pages) with helpful content, optimizing for search while elevating our brand for customers. See engagement rings page as one example below.

The Process:

  • Our technical SEO agency partner shared recommendations for which pages to update based on search potential.

  • I wrote copy and FAQs, using SEMRush for keyword recommendations, Google’s “People also ask,” and weaving in other site pages for optimized internal linking strategy.

  • The Copy Director and eCommerce Marketing Manager reviewed content to ensure brand alignment and content optimization.

The Ask:

Speak to our brand pillar about exceptional craftsmanship and expand on our tagline, “Your Friend & Jeweler” with a blog post that shows the personalized experience you get from shopping with Shane Co.

The Process:

  • I interviewed Robert, an expert jeweler at one of our brick-and-mortar locations to learn more about his years of experience crafting fine jewelry.

  • I took photos of Robert to go along with the copy and show that we offer a friendly, warm shopping experience.

  • The content team leveraged photos and copy to share in email and social media stories.

The Ask:

Test new “Same Day Delivery” shipping option in our Denver markets before expanding across the country. Write clear, informational copy that helps guide a customer throughout their shopping and ordering process.

The Process:

  • I worked with the UX Designer in Figma to pinpoint delivery touchpoints and write clear, concise copy that worked within the design parameters.

  • I worked with the Copy Director to ensure all copy was consistent and on-brand (“How It Works” section includes collaboration with another copywriter).

  • The UX Manager approved the process and implemented this market test across the site.

Food Pantry

The Ask:

Help a local non-profit with their UX strategy. They wanted to update their site and make it easier for users to get involved with food pantry services.

The Process:

  • I met with the Invisible Food Pantry owner to understand their audience and website needs.

  • I made recommendations for how to structure their Squarespace website, creating low-fidelity prototypes with Figma.

  • The client is happy with the recommendations and planning to implement them later this year.
